0% apr credit cards

0% apr credit cards are best suited for those who carry a balance from month to month on their credit card. Typically you will not find 0% apr credit cards on an ongoing basis but you will find many credit cards who offer a 0% introductory period for upto six months. I haven't seen any 0% interest offers for more than six months but I am always looking. If you currently carry a balance on your credit card it is wise for you to apply for one the online credit card applications that offers a 0% introductory rate and save yourself some hard-earned cash.

When you are selecting which 0% apr credit cards would be best there are a couple things that you will need to look at in making your decision. The first is the length of time the interest free period is offered for and another is the ongoing rate after the introductory period has expired. In the long run you might be better to go with a 0% introductory period for a shorter term to take advantage of an ongoing rate that might be much lower than a competitor's rate. I have seen introductory period of 0% for six months but the ongoing rate then skyrockets to 15% whereas a competitor's card has a 0% introductory period of three months but the ongoing rate is less than 3%. In this case you would be best to go for the shorter introductory period to gain the long term advantage of the lower rate.

When it comes to your finances it is always best to think long term. While the introductory period of 0% apr credit cards can seem very attractive on the surface, it could prove to be more costly long term and remember that the introductory period will go by quite quickly.
