American express, chase and different types like student credit cards, gas credit cards, rewards and off course secured credit cards, so how do secured credit cards work? well if you have little to no credit history or a low credit score, then you can use a secured credit card to repair your credit, you fill out a online form and it will be sent to you. Banks have you make a security deposit. i.e the name secured credit cards. It then allows you to rebuild your credit and show them, then you can dump it and move onto another card. Maybe your a college student, a secured credit card is a great way to start building credit history for that nice car or home later in life.
Ok so once you have your secured credit card its time to use it right, rebuild you credit history is the goal. Make sure you make the minimum payment and you will be ok.. another idea is to set aside money to cover future payments if you can afford to do so.. this covers you basically!
